Apostrophes

This week during word study we have been learning all about apostrophes and how to use them correctly this is some of my work. If there is more than one owner you put the apostrophe after the s but if there is only one owner you put the apostrophe before the s.

Examples:
The skink’s tail was trapped. The skink (singular) owns the tail, apostrophe goes before the s.
The fishes’ tails flashed silver. The fishes (plural) own the tails, apostrophe after the s.

A - WHO OWNS THIS?
Write a list of things each of your friends own. The first one is done for you.
a) Sara’s school bag.
b)Catrin’s chromebook.
c)Anna’s pencil case.
d)Sophie B’s maths book.
e)Niamh’s roman sandals.
f)Sophie J’s cat.
g)Mia’s headband.
h)Laura J’s Book
i)Laura G’s cap
j)Maddy J’s watch
